What we collect

To place a booking we ask for the details a business needs to receive you:

• Booking details — your name, email address, phone number, and what you booked (including notes you add, such as a reason for visit or party size). These are shared with the business you book with; that is the point of the booking.
• Account details (optional) — if you create an account: your email, name and phone number. An account is never required to book.
• Reviews — the rating and text you submit after a visit, shown publicly with the first name you provide.
• Approximate location (optional) — only if you allow it, to sort businesses by distance. Coordinates are used for that request and are not stored on our servers.
• Technical basics — IP addresses are used for rate limiting and abuse protection. Review submissions store a one-way hashed form of the IP to prevent fake reviews; the raw address is not kept.

What stays on your device

Your favourites, recently viewed businesses, saved people, and the private links that manage your bookings are stored on your phone, not on our servers. Deleting the app removes them.

How we use information

We use your information to run your bookings: to send them to the business, and to send you confirmations, reminders and change notices by email and WhatsApp. We also use it to keep the service safe (rate limits and abuse prevention).

We do not sell your information and we do not show ads. A business you have booked with may send you occasional offers by email; every such message includes a one-tap unsubscribe, and opting out never affects messages about your own bookings.

Who processes it for us

We rely on a small number of service providers, each only to operate the service: Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform (WhatsApp messages). Businesses you book with see the booking details above.

How long we keep it

Bookings are kept as the business’s appointment records. You can cancel a booking at any time from the app or from your confirmation email.

You can delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account); this closes the account and detaches it from our records. You can also email us to ask about or remove your information.

Your choices

Notifications, location and calendar access are all optional and asked for only when first needed. You can decline or revoke any of them in your device settings; booking works without them.

Children

Waqtee is not directed at children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and its date. Meaningful changes will be visible before they apply to you.
